Custom UPC Labels

The Universal Product Code is an all-numeric symbol adopted by the food industry. The system was developed by the food industry to give every product a unique code number. It is utilized as a “license plate” number for individual items. It is most commonly used in retail environments.

Code 128

Code 128 was selected by the retail industry as a standard code for shipping cartons. It has double-density numerics. Each bar character represents two characters. It is self checking with bi-directional start and stop patterns, making it resistant to scanning errors.

Code 39 (3 of 9)

Code 39 is the most widely used alphanumeric symbology. It is not of a fixed length, which allows for considerable information to be stored. It is self-checking, provides a high level of data security and is bidirectional, which means it can be read from left to right or from right to left.

Interleaved 2 of 5

Interleaved 2 of 5 is an all numeric barcode. It is variable-length continuous code, which is highly compressed. It is used primarily for the automotive industry, warehouse inventory handling, photofinishing envelopes, airline ticketing and baggage and cargo handling. It is the standard symbology for outer shipping containers.

 

Custom PARS and PAPS Labels

Pre Arrival Review System (PARS) are affixed to the A8A document used for importing goods into Canada. They contain a 4-digit carrier code (assigned by the CCRA), the word PARS (optional) and a 6 or 8 digit consecutive number assigned by the manufacturer of the goods for shipment tracking.

Pre Arrival Processing System (PAPS) is a bar coded label system used to expedite the clearance of goods into the U.S. The labels are sequentially numbered in pairs. One pair is required for each transaction at the U.S. border.

QR (Quick Response) Codes

A Quick Response code (QR code) is a specific matrix barcode that is typically read by a cell phone camera reader, but may also be read by a specific QR reader. QR codes are commonly used in marketing campaigns and the entertainment industry. The information encoded may be a text or a URL. We can create, print, and verify QR codes in house.
